The protection of our natural environment is the responsibility of us all. Each year millions of tonnes of detergent waste are thoughtlessly poured into our Oceans and Waterways with most people unaware of the damage caused or of the disturbance to the delicate balance of nature.

By introducing Tri Nature Products into your home, you are caring for the well-being of your family, and making a positive contribution to maintaining the Ecological balance of nature and to the preservation of our natural heritage.

Jaki Bokashi is a local business producing and distributing Bokashi composting systems -

What is Bokashi Composting?
Originating in Japan, Bokashi composting deals with kitchen scraps by fermenting the scraps in a conveniently sized bucket that's perfect for your kitchen, classroom or office. The process is similar to pickling onions in a jar. There are no putrid smells and doesn’t attract flies. Once the bucket is full and fermented, the contents can either be buried into your garden or added to your existing compost bin. Once dug into the soil, the fermented food scraps return to nutrient rich soil with two weeks – the cycle is complete!

Benefits of using Bokashi:
• Convenience! You only need to take your food waste to the garden once every three to four weeks
• Increased soil fertility
• Breaks down much faster than traditional composting systems
• No smells, flies or vermin
• You can add meat, fish and citrus
• Less greenhouse gas emissions than regular composting
• It’s safe! Bokashi utilises natural micro-organisms to enhance our environmental health

Next time you’re at the Organic and Sustainable Market come and chat with new owners Roxane and Deanna, we love to talk about Bokashi!
